The Time Revolution Night Repair Science Reactivator Eye Serum is a firming and brightening skincare product special for your eyes. It has lighter texture than many eye cream products, yet is still very effective in brightening and wrinkle-care. The product mainly contains complex lactic acid fermented ingredients such as Bifida fermented ingredient, Lactobacillus fermented ingredient, and Lactococcus fermented ingredient.

My make-up routine always needs a good concealer for deep dark circles, but still could not fully cover them. I have been trying out many different eye creams, but for my age I found it too thick; most of the times I felt like the eye creams were not penetrating into my skin well. After several weeks of trying out the Time Revolution eye serum, my dark circles have visibly lighter and hydrated.

The following photo shows the before – dehydrated and darkened under eye area, and the after – brighter eye area with a healthy sheen to it.

Highly concentrated with enriched fermented ingredients, the serum is clear and gel-like. The texture is very light, although I feel a bit of oil. The skin instantly feels hydrated and soothed, but without any stickiness. With a little bit of gentle tapping on the skin, the serum adheres and quickly gets absorbed by the thirsty skin.

Only a little goes a long way for this easily-spread serum. When you have some leftovers, just apply it around your lips and under the nose – the areas with thin and sensitive skin layer.

This product is best to use along with the MISSHA Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence and MISSHA Time Revolution Night Repair Science Activator Ampoule, but can be also mixed and matched with any other products!

MISSHA Cho Bo Yang BB Cream & Real Patting Auto Puff (초보양 비비 + 리얼 패팅 오토 퍼프)

With the surprise of snow storms and crazy wind chill in Toronto for the last couple of weeks, many girls are experiencing extreme dryness of skin! This needs to be resolved ASAP with replenishing of moisture. Hydration concentrated skin care is essential, and also on top, your makeup routine might have to change for the time being.

What I will be reviewing today is the MISSHA Cho Bo Yang BB cream. This BB cream has rich ingredients, creamy texture, and sun protection of SPF 30/ PA++, just what you need for this severe Canada winter! It is crucial to put sun protection in the winter, since the UV rays are constantly reflecting back from the snow on the ground to your face! Also, the herbal ingredients in the product give skin-enhancing functions, such as wrinkle repair, brightening, and moisturizing.

The on-off slide inhibits and activates the vibrating/patting motion of the spongy part of the machine. The mechanism for the auto puff is actually very fascinating. As we all know, BB creams should always be applied with patting motion, and this smart machine is doing it for you- faster and better. For sanitary, puff refills are available at MISSHA stores!

What I LOVE most about this product is that it covers so well without being greasy! This product is already very well-known in Korea for its high coverage and hydrating effect. The texture is very creamy and tight, and it stays on your skin for a long time after applying. I used a sponge to disperse the BB cream on the face, and then used the patting automatic puff to even out and set it all in. The more I pat down, the better the coverage and the longer it stays. MISSHA REAL PATTING AUTO PUFF works on two AAA batteries, which one pair already comes with the puff. The bottom of the cap is a mirror, and is quite a compact size. 

The following photos were taken in exact same lighting, no Photoshop or photo-editing tool was used. The first is a bare face; many blemishes, redness, acne scars.  The second photo is only applying the Cho Bo Yang BB cream on its own with a makeup sponge- you can see that the skin is evened out, no redness, no dark spots are visible. The third photo is the other cheek with Cho Bo Yang BB cream and patted gently with the Auto Puff. The face is a lot brighter in tone, looks flawless and ready to build colour products on top!

I’m back with another blog, this time featuring some of the makeup products from MISSHA.

First up is the new MISSHA Signature Velvet Art Shadow No. 21 Magenta Plum Combination. They came out this fall in Korea, and followed by the recent launch in MISSHA Canada. The colours are deep and sophisticated, and are finely texturized with some glowy sparkles. Without too much shimmer, it is a great palette for daily wear or even for a night out by using all colours to your favour!

The overall texture of the shadows are like “velvet”, hence the name Velvet Art shadow, and they do last for the whole day. Even though they are powder eye shadows, the ingredients include hyaluronic acid, collagen, argan oil, and olive oil; all very well known for its hydrating effect on skin.

The product to the left of the shadow palette is the MISSHA Signature Vibrating Mascara. Now, this is a quite interesting product that I have been eyeing on for a long time before I actually tried it. It works on a small battery that fits in a slot at the handle region. It is literally the best naturally volumizing mascara I have ever tried… The vibration of the brush ensures that there is NO CLUMP whatsoever and separates and lengthens at the same time. So in love with it, and I have been recommending this product to every one of my friends. Such a brilliant product.

And now onto the eye makeup tutorial using these two products:

1. Using your favourite eye shadow base, prime your lids

2. Pick up the base shadow with a wide shadow brush and apply to the entire lid, including the underline area

3. Using a pointed brush, apply the point colour to the 1/3 of the inner and the outer corner, leaving out the centre

4. Wing your liner down to create a more elegant look, and curl your lashes

5. Turn on the vibrating mascara on to 1x, and slowly run through your lashes from roots to ends

Use 2x for a stronger vibration and an even more dramatic volumizing!

6. Finish off your look with a touch of highlighter shadow from the Magenta Plum Palette at the centre of the lid, inner corners of the eyes, and the brow bones.

And now, here is the final look of the eye makeup!

You may notice the fuller and longer lashes on both eyes, and the deeper eye from the contouring by using the point colour. 

This eye makeup is an easy way to change up your boring everyday brown or pink makeup, with a glimpse of plum.

Today, I would like to briefly talk about this anti-aging and whitening cream. I have been using it for a while after hearing that the product won the first place in Consumers Korea for top anti-aging product. The packing is simple and elegant, and it comes with a spatula and a plastic inner lid for sanitary purposes. This product is great to use with MISSHA Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence and Time Revolution Immortal Youth Skin Rebooter.

I have combination skin with oily areas in my T-zone, so the Immortal Youth Cream was my nightly cream. If you have combination-dry or dry skin, this cream will be also suitable for daily and nightly cream. Unlike most of the wrinkle care products, this one is not too sticky nor too oily. The following photos are before and after applying the cream, respectively. You can see that the skin is glowing and with little residue.

The texture of the cream is more firm than other creams, and it applies very smoothly (somewhat like butter). Whenever I feel like my skin needs some extra care, I just use the immortal cream as a sleeping mask → multi- functional! My skin next morning feels smooth, soothed, and brighter without greasiness. Amazing result that needs to be experienced by you guys.

Anti-aging is never “too early” to start! If you are looking for an aging care product that actually works and is not too sticky so that your whole head of hair doesn't stick to your face, or if you are just looking for a multi-functional cream for the dry winter, then, this product is for you! :) The result that I’ve been seeing is totally worth the investment and this is highly recommended.

캐나다가 국경에서 백신 의무화를 철회하고 ArriveCan 앱 사용을
의무화가 아닌 선택사항으로 변경할 예정입니다.
그 동안 침체되어 있던 여행산업과 공항에서의 연착과 혼란이 더 이상 없기를 기대해봅니다.

외교부 통계에 따르면 캐나다 거주 한인 인구는 24만 명이고
그 중 토론토에 약 12만 명이 살고 있다고 합니다.
내년은 한국과 캐나다 수교 60주년을 기념하는 해인만큼
모든 면에서 두각을 드러내는 한인들이 되었으면 합니다.

최근 6개월 동안 전체적으로 집값이 많이 내리기는 했지만
GTA의 경우 지역별로 편차가 심했습니다.
브램턴이나 밀튼 같은 지역은 전년 대비 가격이 하락했지만
미시사가와 옥빌은 전년 대비 상승했습니다.

캐나다 중앙은행이 기준금리를 2.5%에서 3.25%로 또 인상했습니다.
중앙은행은 9월 7일 인상에 이어 10월 26일에도 인상을 할 예정입니다.
요즘은 물가가 너무 비싸서 가족들하고 외식을 하는 것도 꺼려지는데요
다가오는 겨울이 더 걱정이 됩니다.

캐나다 부동산 시장의 침체가 몇달째 이어지고 있습니다.
금리인상으로인한 이자부담으로 거래가 줄고 부동산 가격이 하락했지만
임대료는 껑충 뛰었습니다. 항상 오르기만 해서 이런 현상이 신기하게 느껴지네요.
침체가 언제까지 이어질지 지켜봐야 할 것 같습니다.
