캐나다외환은행은 지난 2월27일 토론토다운타운 리츠칼튼 호텔에서 청센렁(Chungsen Leung) 연방국회의원, 강정식 토론토총영사, 김정태 하나금융지주회장 등 현지 주요인사 및 경영진들이 참석한 가운데 토론토 리치몬드 힐 지점 및 베이뷰지점 개점식 행사를 가졌습니다.
이번 토론토지역에 신설된 2개지점은 신흥 코리아타운과 중국계 이민자 밀집지역에 위치하고 있어, 30년 이상 축적된 캐나다 한국외환은행의 현지영업 노하우를 바탕으로 한국계 교민들 뿐 만아니라 중국계 고객등을 포함한 현지 고객의 금융니즈를 충족시킬수 있는 맞춤형 금융상품과 서비스를 제공할 계획입니다.
한편, 외환은행의 모그룹인 하나금융그룹은 2025년까지 그룹전체 이익 중 글로벌 수익비중 40% 달성이라는 전략목표달성을 위해 지속적으로 해외네트워크를 확장하고 있습니다.
하나금융그룹은 이번 캐나다토론토지역의 2개 지점을 포함하여 올해 총 7개의 해외네트워크를 신설하였으며, 특히 지난해 출범한 인도네시아통합법인은 통합시너지효과를 더욱 극대화하고자 올해말까지 15개의 지점을 추가로 신설할 예정입니다.
1981년 설립된 캐나다 한국외환은행은 지난해 10월 밴쿠버 리치몬드지점에이어 올해 2개의 지점을 추가로 신설함으로써 총 11개의 영업망을 보유하게 되었습니다.
한국계은행 중 가장 먼저 해외에 진출하여 줄곳 글로벌 영업선두주자를 유지하고 있는 외환은행의 향후행보가 기대됩니다.
Korea Exchange Bank of Canada celebrated the grand opening of the Richmond Hill branch and the Bayview branch on February 27 at Ritz Carlton Toronto. Notable guests include Chungsen Leung, Member of Parliament, Kang Jeong Sik, Consul General of the Republic of Korea, Kim Jung Tai, Chairman of Hana Financial Group among many others.
The 2 new locations are conveniently located near the Korean and Chinese populated area. Korea Exchange Bank of Canada has over 30 years of experience and the two new locations will cater to the banking needs of their customers including non-Koreans.
Hana Financial Group, a parent company of Korea Exchange Bank, continues to extend its network overseas with the goal of achieving 40% of profits from the global market.
Hana Financial Group opened 7 new global networks including 2 new branches in Toronto this year. The new Indonesia integrated corporation, which opened last year, has plan to open 15 new branches by the end of this year.
Korea Exchange Bank of Canada was founded in 1981 and now has 11 branches in Canada. KEB opened the Richmond branch in Vancouver last year followed by the two new branches this year.
Korea Exchange Bank of Canada was the first Korean bank to establish its branches overseas and became the leader in global banking services.
