2014 토론토 국제 영화제가 오는 9월 4일부터 14일 까지 열립니다.
이번 영화제가 조금 더 특별한 이유!
바로 2014 시티 투 시티 프로그램의 주제 도시로 서울이 선정돼
우리 영화와 나라에 대해 소개가 될 예정인데요.
Tlff의 예술감독인 캐머런 베일리 감독은
서울에서 좋은 영화들이 꾸준히 만들어지며 매우 흥미로운 도시라며
이번 토론토 국제 영화제를 통해 차세대 영화인들을
만나볼 수 있을 거란 기대도 덧붙였습니다.
올해 상영되는 한국영화는 ‘시티 투 시티’ 부문 외에도
심성보 감독의 ‘해무’가 메인 섹션인 ‘갈라’ 부문에,
임권택 감독의 ‘화장’, 홍상수 감독의 ‘자유의 언덕’이
마스터스 부문에 초청됐습니다.
이 밖에도 다양한 한국영화들이 대거 초청됐는데요,
장률감독의 경주, 이도윤감독의 좋은 친구들, 박정범감독의 산다,
부지영감독의 카트, 임필성감독의 마담 뺑덕 등
다양한 한국영화들이 상영될 예정입니다.

The 2014 Toronto International Film Festival
will take place from September 4th to September 14th.
Why is this year’s festival a bit more special?
The 2014 City to City programme will be focusing on Seoul, South Korea!
Artistic Director of the Toronto International Film Festival Cameron Bailey stated that Seoul is an interesting city that consistently produces great cinema. He is looking forward to introducing TIFF audiences to the next generation of exciting Korean filmmakers.
The Korean films that will be screened at this year’s event goes beyond the City to City programme. Director Sung-Bo Shim’s “Haemoo” will be screened in TIFF’s main section - the Gala Presentation Programme. Director Kwon-Taek Im’s “Revivre” and Director Sang-Soo Hong’s “Hill of Freedom” have been selected to screen in the Masters Programme.
A variety of other Korean films have also been invited to screen at the festival this year, including Director Lu Zhang’s “Geongju”, Director Do-Yun Lee’s “confession”, Director Jungbum Park’s “Alive”, Director Ji-Young Boo’s “Cart”, Director Pil-Sung Yim’s “Scarlet Innocence” among many others.
