지난 8월 31일 일요일, 하이웨이 세븐과 레슬리에 위치한 토론토 쉐라톤 파크웨이 호텔에서 2014 미스 아시아 토론토 최종 선발대회가 열렸습니다.
올해 미스 아시아 토론토 대회에는 한국 대표로 참가한 안나 김을 비롯해 총 25명의 후보가 출전해 아름다운 자태를 뽐냈습니다.
대회에 참가한 각 후보들은 자기소개와 장기자랑을 통해 자신만의 미를 선보였습니다.
이번 미스 아시아 토론토 선발대회의 우승자에게는 홍콩행 항공권과 여행 비용이 제공되는데요, 홍콩에서 열리는 미스 아시아 파이널 선발대회에 출전하게 될 우승자 후보들은 이 대회를 통해 300만 홍콩달러 상금을 수여 받을 수 있는 기회를 또다시 갖게 됩니다.
미스 아시아 선발대회는 세계에서 가장 큰 규모의 동양인 미인 선발대회이자 네 번째로 큰 세계 미인 선발대회입니다.
여러 나라에서 선발된 대회 우승자들은 홍콩에서 최종 우승을 가리게 되는데요, 이 대회는 전세계 아시안 공동체를 연결하고 각 나라 고유문화를 알리고자 하는 취지를 가지고 있습니다.
On Sunday, August 31st, the 2014 Miss Asia Toronto Grand Finale was held at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel located at Highway 7 and Leslie St.
This year’s Miss Asia Toronto pageant consisted of 25 beautiful contestants, including Anna Kim who proudly represented Korea.
Each contestant was given an opportunity to introduce herself and demonstrate her special talent.
The winner of the Miss Asia Toronto title receives an all expenses paid trip to Hong Kong. She will also enter into the Miss Asia Final in Hong Kong for the opportunity to win the grand prize of 3 million dollars (HKD).
The Miss Asia pageant is the world’s largest Asian oriented beauty pageant and the world’s 4th largest beauty pageant.
The semi-final competitions are held annually all over the world, and the winner of each semi-final will be entered into the final competition held in Hong Kong. The pageant aims to unite all Asian communities and exhibit each group’s cultural qualities.
