The 39th Toronto International Film Festival concludes on a high note this year, with a new record for industry delegate attendance and delivering strong film sales. The festival took place from September 4-14, and featured a total of 392 films from 79 different countries.
A particular highlight this year, was the festival’s City To City Programme which had its spotlight on Seoul, South Korea. The programme introduced Toronto’s audiences to the fearless cinema emerging from the Korean capital.
Programmed by Cameron Bailey, Artistic Director of the Toronto International Film Festival, and Giovanna Fulvi, International programmer for the Festival, the lineup consisted of 8 daring films by contemporary Korean directors.
Korean films at the Toronto International Film Festival were also featured beyond the City To City Programme.
