삼성캐나다가 500명이 넘는 캐나다 전역의 직원들과 함께 어린이 병원을 후원하는 삼성 기부의 날을 맞았습니다. 지난 10월 9일, 삼성 캐나다 본사에서 열린 행사에는 김학태 삼성 캐나다 법인장을 비롯한 삼성 관계자들과SICKKIDS의 관계자들이 참석한 가운데 이번 행사에 대한 소감을 전했습니다. 특히 올해 초부터 삼성 캐나다는SIckKids 재단과 함께 삼성의Solve for Tomorrow 교육 프로그램의 일환으로 간질병 병동 어린이들을 도울 기회를 가져왔습니다. 지금까지 삼성 캐나다는 지원금 수여를 포함한 SickKids 간질병 병동 교실 첨단 기술 기계 장비 등 $230,000상당을 기부를 해왔습니다. 삼성 캐나다는 앞으로도 어린이 환자를 포함한 그들의 가족과 주변사람들을 위한 더 나은 환경개선을 위한 포부를 밝혔습니다.
More than 500 Samsung Canada Employees across the country joined together to celebrate Samsung’s annual Day of Giving in support of children’s hospital partners. In Toronto, an event was held on October 9th, at Samsung Canada’s head office. Samsung Canada’s President and CEO, HT Kim, and Samsung employees were joined by special guests and representatives from the Hospital for Sick Children’s Epilepsy Classroom. Together, they shared their thoughts on this year’s event.Beginning early this year, Samsung worked with SickKids to identify an opportunity to support their Epilepsy Classroom - an initiative that aligned with Samsung’s Solve for Tomorrow children’s education program. To date, Samsung Canada has donated more than $230,000 in Solve for Tomorrow grant funding and classroom technology to the SickKids Epilepsy Classroom. Samsung Canada hopes to make a positive difference in the lives of child patients, their families and their caregivers.
