지난 11월 29일 토요일 저녁 토론토 예술센터에서 제 14회 소래 청소년 오케스트라 정기 공연이 열렸습니다.
이번 공연에는 음악가 김혁씨의 지휘아래 드보르작의 신세계 고향곡, 번스타인의 캔디드 서곡 등 주옥 같은 명곡들을 청중들에게 선보였습니다.
소래 청소년 오케스트라는 음악과 함께 청소년의 건전한 문화의식을 고취시키고, 함께하는 지역사회를 만들어 가기 위한 토론토 최대규모의 비영리 한인 청소년 음악단체입니다.

그 동안 오케스트라는 한인 행사 뿐 아니라 캐나다 단체의 행사에서 자원봉사 연주활동을 펼쳐왔으며 정기 연주회를 통해 얻어지는 수익금은 여러 봉사단체에 기부하고 있습니다.
소래 청소년 오케스트라는 종교와 신앙의 구분 없이 음악을 사랑하며 나눔의 소중함을 키워가기를 원하는 단원들을 모집하고 있습니다. 관심있는 분들은 전화나 이메일로 문의하시기 바랍니다.
The 14th annual Sohrae Youth Orchestra concert was held on Saturday, November 29 at Toronto Centre for the Arts.
As Hyuk Kim conducted the orchestra, the concert featured the great classical masterpieces such as Drorak’s New World Symphony, Bernstein’s Candide-Overture and many more.
Sohrae Youth Orchestra is the biggest non-profit organization in Toronto consisting of Korean student volunteers, aimed to improve the cultural appreciation in adolescents and to share their musical talents.

Sohrae Youth Orchestra volunteer at various Korean and Canadian community festivals and hold annual fundraising concert to donate all profits to charity organizations.
